Job Description

This position is responsible for responding to all requests for information and the release of protected health information in accordance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies and procedures and federal and state statues, to authorized parties. Maintain integrity of information through the electronic medical record while retrieving confidential patient information. Serves as the main receptionist to the HIM department.

Education And Credentials

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Previous experience in a health information management department with emphasis on release of protected health information is preferred. Must understand confidentiality, be able to operate a PC and be proficient in data entry. Must be able to read and write English. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be organized with exceptional customer service and telephone skills.

Scheduled Work Hours : 7 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM
