POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Director (AD) of recruitment is responsible for implementing vision from the VP of Student Services and managing recruitment strategies to attract and enroll students in specific academic programs and from strategic enrollment partners.
This role involves planning and coordinating recruitment events, nurturing relationships with prospective students, and leading a team of recruitment professionals to meet both internal and external recruitment goals.
This AD of Recruitment will also lead and mentor the coordinator of enrollment partnerships and campus tours.

Strategic Leadership Collaborate with the VP of Student Services and university leadership to design, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies that support enrollment goals for specific academic areas and strategic partnerships.
Contribute to long-term planning and marketing initiatives to enhance student recruitment efforts.
Team Management Supervise, train, and mentor recruiting coordinators and / or assistants.
Foster a supportive team environment, ensuring staff are equipped with tools, training, and professional development opportunities to meet performance objectives.
Recruitment Events Plan, organize, and oversee on-campus and off-campus recruitment events (e.g., fairs, open houses, information sessions).
Supervise the coordinator responsible for campus tours and ensure high-quality prospective student experiences.
Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Represent the University at schools, community organizations, and professional associations to promote enrollment opportunities.
Data Analysis and Reporting Collect and analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of strategies.
Prepare, present, and interpret reports on enrollment trends, applicant pipelines, and recruitment outcomes.
Marketing and Communication Oversee the creation, review, and distribution of recruitment and promotional materials.
Coordinate targeted communication campaigns (email, digital outreach, social media) to prospective students.
Compliance Ensure all recruitment practices comply with institutional policies, ethical standards, and relevant federal and state regulations, including FERPA and EEOC guidelines.
General Duties Attend major university functions (e.g., commencement, orientation, admissions events).
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Recruitment or senior leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for supervising three (3) Admission Counselors and one (1) Coordinator of Enrollment Partnerships QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, or a related field. 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, or related area.
Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in higher education administration, business, or related field.
Experience in Christian higher education.
Familiarity with CRM software and data-driven recruitment strategies.
