Well established Private Practice in Gaston County area seeks full time child therapist with training or experience in play or expressive arts therapy. Preferred candidates will also have experience in parenting education, trauma, separation / divorce / blended families, and attachment and systems theory. Other desired skills included group therapy and assessment skills.

Licensed Clinician has one of the following licenses - LCMHC. Provisionally licensed clinicians will be considered if they have obtained their LCMHC-A certificate, or other associate level license. Preference given to fully licensed individuals.

Practice will provide clinical supervision for LCMHCA, as well as consultation for other associate levels licensed clinicians.

Required Qualifications :

  • Clinician has experience in working with children and their families in the outpatient setting.
  • Clinician is knowledgeable of child development and appropriate interventions to support social and emotional development.
  • Clinician has experience in treating various childhood developmental and emotional disorders.

    • Preference given to those who have completed play therapy coursework and / or trainings as well as who are pursuing a Registered Play Therapist credential.

    Position Requirements :

  • Clinician will work toward and maintain a caseload of minimum of 25 Billable hours per week. Documentation is required in accordance with Insurance Policies and Best Practices.
  • This is is a W2 position.
  • This is a group practice, so working well with others is very important.
  • Must be comfortable with therapy dogs on site.
  • Position requires two evenings per week.
