Carpenter
The Carpenter supports museum infrastructure, operations, and exhibits, working in a diverse setting and interfacing with museum stakeholders to successfully complete carpentry projects.
This is a 40-hour / week position with regular hours and occasional overtime. The full-time schedule for this role is first shift, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm. Please note : this is a temporary position with an end date of January 31st, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, or sketches for information pertaining to the measurements and type of material that is required.
- Lay out and install different types of flooring, drywall, ceiling grid, tiles, etc.
- Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
- Erect scaffolding and other construction structures.
- Cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications.
- Install mirrors, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, etc.
