Qualifications and Requirements
- An appropriate New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS), as deemed necessary by NJDOE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred), unless otherwise specified by the NJDOE.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities
Develop a curriculum that meets students' individual needs, interests, and abilities in architecture, including skills, safety protocols, and real-world application of principles.Prepare students to apply technical knowledge, scientific principles, and mathematical concepts, including CAD and industry-related experiences.Implement a comprehensive architecture curriculum aligned with district and state standards, maximizing student achievement and certification success.Create lesson plans and instructional materials that promote practical learning and skill development.Assess student progress regularly and modify instruction to meet individual needs, including students with special needs.Evaluate student work and provide progress reports.Engage in professional development to stay current with industry trends and educational best practices.Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school committees and meetings.Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintained in classrooms and labs.Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment conducive to hands-on learning and student engagement.Manage instructional resources and inventory.Participate in professional growth activities and promote student leadership and civic responsibility through CTSO activities.Prepare students for work-based learning and supervise out-of-class activities as needed.Coordinate with staff and communicate with parents regarding student progress.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.Reporting and Compensation
