American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring an Arizona PT license and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital on an acute care PT unitSchedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PMAverage daily census of 11 patientsMay be required to float to surrounding clinicsDepartment operates 7 days a week, including at least one weekend day per weekFacility is a teaching hospital and Level IV trauma center with 87 bedsCerner is used for charting, and Cerner experience is preferredBusiness casual dress code is requiredFree parking is availableMain responsibilities include providing PT evaluations and treatments for a diverse acute care patient populationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyNo on-call requirementsHoliday coverage required for 2 out of 3 specified major holidaysNo time off permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation and required modulesModules and online training are completed during the first week of orientationFormer employees must wait 12 months before being eligible for rehire; specific rehire approval required for previous staffReturn travelers ineligible if they cancelled a contract within 10 days of the previous start date at this health system\n \n Requirements\n
Current Physical Therapist license in Arizona required; license required if applicableBLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredAt least 1 year of recent physical therapy experience requiredExperience and confidence working with a variety of medical diagnoses preferredAbility to safely manage moderate to maximum assist patients and to co-treat and work with ventilated patients preferredFlexibility to pick up additional evaluations throughout the dayComfort with floating to other units or nearby affiliate hospitalsMust provide two professional references, with one from the most recent employer within one year of start\n Benefits\n
