Patient Care Tech
The Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner to assist the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. The Medical Surgical Floor at Cedar City Hospital cares for a variety of acute and intermediate level of care patients. Patient Care includes prioritizing and delivering basic patient care, assisting with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients, providing excellent customer service, and reporting and recording patient care findings. Collaboration involves working with RN and other members of the interdisciplinary team, demonstrating effective teamwork, and performing non-nursing duties. Minimum Qualifications include Basic Life Support Certification, strong written and verbal communication skills, and current CNA Certification. Preferred Qualifications include CNA experience, current enrollment in nursing school, and basic computer skills. Physical Requirements include seeing and reading information, frequent interactions with patient care providers, manual dexterity, lifting and transferring patients, and standing for extended periods. The position is located at Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital in Cedar City, Utah, with scheduled weekly hours of 36. The hourly range for this position is $18.22 - $23.68.
