Liberation Academy is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and equity-focused STEM Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to engage deeply with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through culturally relevant, project-based learning that connects classroom content to real-world challenges and social justice issues. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment where every student can see themselves as a capable innovator and problem-solver. Job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following :
Curriculum Development and Instruction
- Design and deliver engaging, project-based, and interdisciplinary STEM instruction aligned with national standards (e.g., NGSS) and Liberation Academy’s educational philosophy.
- Integrate culturally responsive pedagogy and social justice principles into all lessons, making STEM relevant to students' lives and communities
- Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
- Use data to inform instructional decisions
- Differentiate instruction to ensure that all students are progressing
- In conjunction with Exceptional Education Teachers, work to ensure that all IEPs and student needs are met both within and outside of the classroom
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture

Required Qualifications

There are a few ways to meet this requirement :Hold a valid Georgia Teaching License and possess the correct content endorsements needed to teach the particular contentHold a valid teaching license that has successfully been transferred from another state that offers reciprocity with GAEnroll in state-accredited Alternative Certification Program pursuing certification and be eligible for recommendation of licensure by district or programPreferred Qualifications :
Candidates would preferably have a combination of the following qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics) or Education with a specialization in STEM.Certified to teach middle grades math or sciencePrevious experience in the field of computer scienceBenefits
