Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers for contract positions available immediately through the end of the school year. These roles are focused on providing specialized instruction and support to students with special needs in elementary and middle school settings.

Open positions include :

3 Special Education Teachers for elementary school
2 Special Education Teachers for middle school

Two of these positions are covering maternity leaves starting this week or next week, and candidates should be prepared to begin as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students with disabilities

Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)

Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements

Support the social and emotional development of students within the classroom and school community

Qualifications :

Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate to the assigned grade level

Experience working with elementary and / or middle school students with special needs

Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster an inclusive learning environment
