About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and passionate Director of Philanthropy and Public Relations to lead our fundraising and public engagement efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in securing funding from foundations, grants, and charitable donations, ensuring the sustainability of our mission.

As the public face of our organization, you will manage our public image through effective communication and media relations, serving as a key liaison with external stakeholders. You will oversee a talented team of 6 staff and volunteers, collaborating closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to enhance our funding initiatives and public relations strategy.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies for philanthropy and public relations.
  • Mentoring and inspiring staff and volunteers to excel in fund development and advocacy.
  • Building and nurturing long-lasting relationships with donors, including promoting planned giving opportunities.
  • Providing expertise in media relations, crisis management, and social media strategy.
  • Ensuring that all public relations initiatives promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
