Junior Construction Manager
The Junior Construction Manager supports the organization's mission to provide superior quality, lasting value, and outstanding customer service through the day-to-day workflow processes on constructing homes and the business that affects Holiday Builders. The Junior Construction Manager is an entry level position within the Construction Manager classification. The position will be responsible for all daily duties that involve the oversight of successful and timely construction of homes. Homes may be under construction within a subdivision or scattered lot. The Junior Construction Manager will report to the Project Manager and be mentored by an assigned Construction Manager. The position will be responsible for a limited number of homes as to be determined by the Project Manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist Construction Manager with day-to-day job duties / responsibilities managing all of aspects of the overall construction of homes. This includes all stages from clearing and preparation of jobsite through the new home orientation and warranty.
- Assist with ensuring homes are constructed and completed within company specifications and required timeframes for completion. Meet with municipality inspectors as needed.
- Adhere to company quality assurance policies and procedures for meeting minimum quality standards of home construction.
- Assist with completing initial punch lists and completion of customer walk-thru lists.
- Manage customer service through the Holiday Builders warranty program, ensuring outstanding issues are completed in a timely manner and within company policy and procedures
- Inspect and enforce job safety requirements and job site cleanliness, always.
- Update schedules daily in ITK to ensure PO / WOs are released timely so invoices are paid on time for work completed.
- Assist with model home and inventory home maintenance.
- Develop and promote long-term positive relationships with internal and external customers, trade partners and industry associates.
- Attend construction training opportunities and meetings, as required.
Qualifications
Education / Experience Required :
BS Degree in Construction Management or equivalent field of study 1-2 years directly related experience preferred
Skills / Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include database and scheduling programs Homebuilding software experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and other necessary construction documents, preferred
