Minimum Qualifications :

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Education, or in a related field from an accredited college or university
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Science DX, Integrated Science DI, or Physical Science DP endorsement or meet Michigan teaching permit requirements through enrollment in a teacher certification program leading to a Michigan teaching certificate with DX, DI, and / or DP endorsement(s)

Job Description :

• Provide science instruction for students in ninth through twelfth grade
• Maintain a structured environment that supports classroom management where students feel safe and engaged, promoting focus and collaboration
• Administer group-standardized tests in accordance with the district and / or school testing program
• Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports in order to advance student achievement
• Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction, develop lesson plans and instructional materials, provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students
• Establish open communications with students, parents, staff, and the community
• Participate in district and school professional development programs, as required
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
• Any other duties assigned by the Principal, and / or designee
