Job Description : Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) or Certified Rehabilitation Nurse for Private Home (77024)

Overview : We are seeking a highly qualified CCRN or CRRN with extensive experience in medical rehabilitation, particularly in the care of patients recovering from neurological conditions and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex patient cases, demonstrating clinical expertise, and providing compassionate care in a rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities :

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in a medical rehabilitation unit setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, assess neurological status, and evaluate response to therapeutic interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
• Provide education and support to patient and their family regarding care plans and rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess and manage patient with traumatic brain injuries, including monitoring for complications and implementing specialized interventions.
• Provide care and support for patient with tracheotomy and G-tube, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and troubleshooting of devices.
• Ensure accurate and detailed medication administration specific to patient needs, including understanding of pharmacology, dosage calculations, and administration routes.
• Implement proper protocol for turning and lifting patients using safe and effective techniques to prevent injury and promote patient comfort.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists, therapists, and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and rehabilitation progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress towards goals.
