Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Surgical First Assistant Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 10 / 26 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : CSFA - Operating Room (OR) (Days) Location : 4005 Orchard Drive, Midland, MI Duration : 13 Weeks (Starting 10 / 27 / 2025) Shift : Days, 6 : 30 am - 7 : 00 pm (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts / week (36 hours guaranteed) Responsibilities : Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and operative techniques. Prepare the surgical suite by assisting with gathering instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assist the surgeon with positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, sponging, suturing, tissue handling, cautery techniques, and application of dressings. Collaborate with the OR team to transport and position patients safely. Requirements : Minimum 2 years of surgical first assistant experience. Current BLS (AHA) certification. NBSTSA or ABSA certification required. Ability to travel (non-local candidates preferred; 50-mile radius restriction). Experience with Epic EMR is a plus.
