Position overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pain Medicine Physician with surgical experience to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, managing, and treating chronic pain, with the capability to perform interventional pain procedures and related surgeries. This role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive pain management plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and
diagnostic tests, to identify the underlying causes of pain.
Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic techniques to assess pain-related conditions.
Develop and implement individualized pain management plans that may include pharmacological
treatments, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
Perform a wide range of interventional pain procedures, including but not limited to nerve blocks,
epidural injections, spinal cord stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation
Educate patients and their families on the nature of their condition, treatment options, and pain
management strategies.
Provide ongoing support and counseling to help patients manage chronic pain and improve their
quality of life.
Stay current with medical literature, CME and DOH policy
Keep up-to-date ICD 10, CPT code as well as insurance requirement Surgical Interventions
Perform surgical procedures that meet medical necessity, including minimally invasive surgeries
aimed at alleviating chronic pain.
Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other specialists on complex cases
requiring surgical intervention.
Patient service
