Diamond Coring Co. Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pavement Grinder / Groover Operator to join our team in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Operate & maintain specialized diamond blade grinding and grooving equipment.
  • Operate semi-truck and water tanker with Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
  • Adeptness in timekeeping and production.
  • Have a basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to travel often and work long hours.
  • Follow industry regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment in the field.
  • All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Standing, Walking, Climbing, stooping, and bending.
  • Periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to all elements of terrains, loud noise, fumes, odors, gases, dust, etc.
  • Work in close proximity to heavy traffic.
  • Strong manual dexterity.

    • Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, applicable technical training or certifications.
  • Previous experience and familiarity operating grinding and / or grooving equipment desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment when needed.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
