Who We Are :

The Project on Predatory Student Lending is the first legal services practice in the country focused solely on representing postsecondary students who were harmed by predatory practices in higher education and vocational training. Started at Harvard Law School in 2012, PPSL became an independent non-profit organization in August 2022. PPSL primarily uses impact litigation to further its mission of ending predatory practices in higher education. PPSL has prosecuted landmark litigation holding corporations and the government accountable for abusive and discriminatory actions and policies.

To date, the Project on Predatory Student Lending has won cancellation of over $22 billion in student debt for over 1 million former students located throughout the United States. • Salary : $100-120k per year, depending on experience
• Remote role, occasional travel required

Primary Purpose of Position :

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the organization's fundraising strategy, with a focus on institutional support, individual giving, and donor engagement. This role works closely with the senior leadership to build strong donor relationships, expand funding streams, and ensure long-term financial sustainability. The Senior Development Manager will report to the Deputy Executive Director and will work closely with the Executive Director on fundraising initiatives.

Essential Functions :

Fundraising strategy & execution

Lead PPSL's grants and institutional giving strategy

Manage PPSL's grant portfolio

Outreach and engagement with new and prospective donors
