Busy shop under new ownership as of 2022 and growing. Open Monday through Friday between 7am and 4pm. Full time position but flexible on start and stop times. No nights, no weekends ever! Front counter consists of a Service Manager and a Service Advisor. Owner available to help as needed. All cars get a hand wash post repairs by the shop helper. We have 5-6 loaner cars for customers to help streamline repairs through the shop. We are currently an ATI (Automotive Training Institute) shop which offers structure and training for everyone. We have a fun, laid back environment but we respect hard work. The shop has been here since 1971 and became Autopia in 2001. We work on all makes and models at this time. The Technician position will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers. This position will report to the shop foreman and the service manager. Diagnosing vehicles. Performing digital vehicle inspections (DVI). Performing maintenance and repairs to vehicles. Test drives. Using software to document findings and work performed. Maintaining a clean work environment. Legal driver's license - Must have an active and valid driver's license allowing operation of company and customer vehicles. Ability to drive a manual transmission is a plus. Full-time attendance - Must be available during normal shop hours of operation to work scheduled hours. Reliable transportation - Must have a means or ability to get to and from work daily. Ability to operate a computer and tablet - Must be able to use modern software and internet sites, including the primary shop software, email, parts portals etc. Ability to speak English - Must be able to speak English with staff and vendors. Ability to show up for work sober - Must be able to show up on time and maintain an entire working day without the use of drugs or alcohol. Ability to move about the shop - Must be capable of physically walking around the shop and lot. Ability to stand - Must be physically capable of standing as needed to perform job duties. Ability to work in tight conditions- Must be able to climb in or on vehicles as needed to perform job duties. Ability to lift and push - Must be able to lift and push objects like parts, shop supplies, vendor items and tools. Good hygiene - Must be clean and presentable to customers and other staff. Ability to read - Must be able to read customer notes, emails, co-worker notes and messages. Ability to write & type - Must be able to write and or type legibly. proper attire - Must wear clean and presentable attire including shoes, pants and shirt at all times (full uniforms provided by the shop and serviced by Cintas). Safety equipment - Must be willing and able to wear safety equipment as needed or required.

About the shop :
- Clean 6000 sqft, 8 Bay shop. 7 two posts and 1 drive on.
- Each technician has 2 dedicated lifts and shares the drive on.
- 100 8ft light bulbs, recently updated to LEDs. Nice and bright.
- Hunter tire changer and balancer.
- Ravignolia alignment machine bought 04 / 24.
- New R134 and R1234YF Robinair machines 01 / 24.
- Shop owned Autel maxiSYS Ultra, SnapOn Solus and iScan3. All up to date.
- Every tech station has its own computer with two monitors.
- Subscriptions to everything you should need at every station.
- Full uniform service provided by Cintas.
- Large customer parking lot and overflow lot in the back.
- Not afraid to buy tools as needed. Many are new and added in the last 2 years.
- Current shop staff, 2 senior level A technicians, 1 GS / C tech in training and 1 shop helper for trash, oil drains etc.
- Currently averaging 3.5hrs per ticket.
- Every car gets a 0.5hr DVI with any service.
- Labor matrix over Alldata book times.
