Overview
West Michigan Seawall & Marine Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to direct and guide a crew of laborers and skilled tradesmen on residential and commercial marine construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong field knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Supervision : Lead and mentor crew members to complete tasks safely and effectively.
- Project Coordination : Manage daily job site operations and align tasks with the overall project schedule.
- Work Quality & Efficiency : Uphold high-quality standards and ensure project goals are met efficiently.
- Safety Leadership : Enforce all safety protocols and conduct on-site safety meetings.
- Material & Equipment Management : Oversee tools, materials, and supplies; coordinate with vendors to prevent delays.
- Training & Development : Provide hands-on training to laborers and new hires.
- Communication : Serve as the primary liaison between field crews and ownership.
- Problem Solving : Address and resolve job site challenges as they arise.
- Quality Control : Inspect work for adherence to company and client expectations; correct deficiencies proactively.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction or marine construction, including supervisory responsibilities.Proven ability to lead and motivate crews effectively in the field.Strong working knowledge of construction methods, tools, and safety practices.Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.High school diploma or GED preferred.Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in variable conditions, and troubleshoot in real time.Benefits

Monday-Friday, full-time hours. Overtime may be available based on project requirements.
Location
Work is performed on-site across various projects in West Michigan. Occasional travel required for out-of-town work with per diem included.
