Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will perform patient vital signs and assist with triage, reconcile medications, and ensure accurate documentation in patient records. You will support providers by entering verbal and written orders into the EMR system, assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinate patient care. Additionally, you will complete administrative tasks to support clinic metrics, including pain assessments, distress screenings, and other quality-related documentation. Effective communication with patients, providers, and clinical staff is crucial to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

Perform patient vital signs and assist with triage.

Reconcile medications and ensure accurate documentation in patient records.

Support providers by entering verbal and written orders into the EMR system.

Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating patient care.

Complete administrative tasks to support clinic metrics, such as pain assessments and distress screenings.

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Essential Skills

Experience in a fast-paced busy outpatient setting.

Expertise in vitalizing and triaging patients.

Proficiency in appointment scheduling.

Strong skills in patient care and electronic health record management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification required

Active BLS / CPR certification

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The clinic operates from 8 am to 5 : 30 pm, with staggered shifts alongside other medical staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.00 / hr.
