Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a RN for a Med / Surg Tele position on a night shift, requiring a MA RN license and experience with adult surgical patients.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 46-bed Med / Surg Tele unit with 4 IMC-level beds
  • Primarily adult patient population (ages 18+)
  • Patient types include general surgical, orthopedics (total hips and knees), plastics (skin grafts, flaps), and medical cases
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts
  • Day nurse-to-patient ratio is 5 : 4; night nurse-to-patient ratio is 6 : 1
  • Patient care technician ratio is 8 : 1 on both day and night shifts
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Care for adult patients recovering from general surgery, orthopedic procedures, and plastic surgeries
  • Work collaboratively with patient care technicians and other team members
  • Night shift role with 12-hour shifts
  • No on-call or holiday on-call requirements noted

    • Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Prior experience in Med / Surg Tele strongly preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Completed application, skills checklist, license verification and NURSYS, and copies of all active certifications required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration
