Sponsler Automotive Service Technician Position

Sponsler Automotive is looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team at our Sponsler Donley Ford of Mount Vernon location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair. Responsibilities include performing repairs as specified on work orders and diagnosing vehicle issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work efficiently on repair orders following dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate with Service Advisors about additional repairs needed and provide estimates.
  • Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

    • Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
  • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to new technology.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
