Project Manager - Electrical
This individual will be responsible for preplanning and managing projects.
Primary Duties :
- Maintain up-to-date change order, subcontractor, RFI and contingency logs.
- Work with Labor Superintendent to ensure labor plan is being carried out.
- Create schedules and man loading charts on all projects.
- Consistently submit accurate, timely and complete estimates and change order quotations.
- Communicate with purchasing and subcontractors to secure schedule, scope and price.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
- Satisfy customers’ needs to develop repeat business.
- Estimate various electrical projects whether bid spec, public, private, or design build.
- Must be capable of interpreting mechanical requirements, making necessary calculations, computing pipe lengths, and listing necessary materials.
Qualifications :
Experience managing more than 5-10 projects at a time
Knowledge of mechanical and basic plumber’s diagnostic equipmentExperience in monitoring labor performance for purpose of identification of labor productivity and tracking progress.Knowledge in generating construction schedule and updating as needed.Knowledge in reading plans and specifications for purpose of ordering material and estimating change orders.Ability to order, track and expedite for timely delivery of MEP and specialty items required for the project.Knowledge and experience in managing multi-disciplined projects.Proven experience estimating their own projects a plus but not required.Education : High School Diploma or GED with preferred vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond high school.
Experience : 3-5 years experience with commercial electrical projects required.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations : Employee must have valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes. State Plumbing License is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements :
Must be traverse and able to access all areas of the jobsite.Must be able to travel to jobsites in multiple statesStanding for prolonged periods of time, frequent bending, and squattingAbility to work on step ladders and extension laddersCompany Description
