This position requires collaboration with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate full-time opening for an experienced and dedicated OR / PACU Medical Assistant to join the team at our Westshore, FL Ambulatory Surgery Center. The schedule is Mon-Fri 5 : 45am-2 : 15pm. Half days on rotating weekends / holidays.

How You'll Contribute : We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for :

• Assists as scrub technician in the OR as assigned. Knowledgeable of proper sterile and aseptic technique and setup / use of equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge and technical skill in the care and use of instruments, supplies and equipment used during a surgical procedure.
• Cleans and cares for all equipment according to OSHA guidelines.
• Wash, dry and package instruments for autoclaving. Turn on autoclave and clean per protocol.
• Provides ultrasound guidance under physician's supervision during transfers and instructs patients in transfer procedure.
• Provides assistance to Physician for HSG procedures; instructs patient in HSG procedures.
• Performs all work in accordance with accepted standards of sanitation, safety and proper handling techniques, including sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains supplies; performs inventory reviews as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and calling for assistance from other health care support if needed.
