Position Title : SOX Manager
Location : Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation : $140,000 - $175,000 annually

Overview :
The ideal candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of SOX-related controls and procedures, working cross-functionally to ensure operational and financial compliance. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the company's SOX compliance program, ensuring effective design and execution of internal controls over financial reporting.
Review, update, and document internal control procedures and narratives in alignment with company policies and audit standards.
Oversee remediation efforts and develop action plans to address control deficiencies.
Coordinate testing of key controls, including the selection and review of sample populations.
Partner with process owners across departments to enhance controls, improve efficiencies, and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Prepare and present status updates, findings, and recommendations to senior management and external auditors.
Monitor changes in accounting and regulatory guidance to assess impact on internal control environment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in audit, internal controls, or compliance, with at least 2 years in a management or lead role.
Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of SOX 404 requirements, internal controls design and testing, and risk assessment frameworks (e.g., COSO).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and influence stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
