Overview

The University of Austin seeks a dynamic videographer and editor to champion the UATX brand. You’ll capture and share the energy of our campus community, educate and grow audiences (prospective students, donors, staff). You'll be responsible for creating compelling video content across formats—from quick-turnaround social clips to polished long-form pieces for YouTube (lectures, podcasts).

What You'll Do

• Document daily campus life with storytelling opportunities. Roam campus identifying moments worth capturing—whether its a spontaneous debate in the commons, a professor's lecture that needs to reach a wider audience, or students collaborating on projects.
• Produce content for multiple platforms. Edit everything from 15-second reels to 60-minute lectures, adapting your approach based on the platform and audience. Fast turnaround is essential—you should be able to shoot something in the morning and have it live on social media that afternoon when timing matters.
• Develop original concepts and series. Pitch and execute recurring video ideas that showcase what makes UATX unique; translate our academic mission into engaging visual content.
