Overview
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs physical care of assigned patients (i.e. grooming, feeding, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Collects specimens as needed.
- Assists and accompanies patients during admission or discharge.
- Performs general care activities for patients.
- Records patients personal care and physical findings.
- Performs a variety of tasks and activities according to the needs of the Department.
- Performs EKG, monitors ECG telemetry equipment, and Phlebotomy on patients.
Qualifications
Must have two to three (2-3) years in an acute / chronic or ambulatory care setting.High School graduate or GED and completed a PCT course which should include EKG and Phlebotomy.Good computer skills as well as organizational, written, and verbal skills.Telemetry certification and BLS Certification required.Experience in Acute Psychiatry preferred.Bilingual Preferred : English / Spanish.#J-18808-Ljbffr
