Operations Manager

Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct and oversee the operational areas of the market assuring maximum utilization of operations resources to meet Company objectives. Essential functions of position include :

  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the entire operation staff.
  • Providing management leadership to employees to accomplish an effective and progressive resource for the organization.
  • Analyzing and resolving any operational performance deficiencies in the department.
  • Recommending and assisting the General Manager in defining policies, procedures, and standards regarding overall operational performance.
  • Ensuring the capital needs of the department match the strategic short and long term goals of the market.
  • Overseeing the hiring, training, evaluating, development, and discipline of a motivated staff to carry out operational functions.
  • Being responsible for the quality control of all production activity, postings, bulletins, new construction, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Working with Corporate Director of Operations to resolve any administrative, operational or technical deficiencies.
  • Setting departmental goals for construction, service, and the maintenance company sign structures.
  • Being responsible to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company ensure compliance without exception.
  • Monitoring the activities and expenses in relation to capital budget.
  • Ensuring employees are in complete compliance with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment as a core focus when executing departmental objectives.
  • Protecting company assets at all times including the maintenance and cleanliness of company trucks, buildings, shops, grounds and equipment.
  • Traveling as required.
  • Performing other functions as assigned by General Manager or designated supervisor.

Preferred qualifications :

  • High School degree or Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related field.
  • Five years operational management experience.
  • Strong management, written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Billboard experience preferred.
  • Vegetation control experience.
  • Electrical knowledge.
  • Construction background preferred.
