REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years

Traveler Experience : Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler

Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes

Skills : EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Must be able to take insulin and heparin drips.

Certs : BCLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

CPI, Charge nurse exp.

JOB DETAILS :

Charge Required on Night Shift

Target Ratios : 1 : 6-7

Shift : 12HR Nights 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.

13-26 weeks accepted

Call Requirement : Call required if put on call prescheduled shift.

Float Requirement : Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding.

Weekend Requirement : Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend

PATIENT DIAGNOSES :

Adults and geriatrics. General Med / Surg Patients. Daily census ~43.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS :

Insulin Drips

Heparin Drips

Wound Vac Drsg Changes

High Flow Oxygen

We occasionally have limited short term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training needed. Appropriate for all med / surg nurses. No PCU level patients on this unit.

PYXIS EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE :

Unit Needs + Preferences relayed to management

UNIT ORIENTATION : 24 hrs.

SCRUBS : Navy

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
