Job Title : RN Location : Temple, TX Department : Pediatric Emergency Room Schedule : Full Time -Nights - 36 hours per week (7P-7A) Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center - Temple has a 20 bed emergency room designed to address the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents. The emergency department equipped to handle all types of emergencies - from minor sprains and strains to major trauma. American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma has verified Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's as a Level II pediatric trauma center, making it the only pediatric trauma center between Dallas and Austin and the only Pediatric Hospital for Baylor Scott and White. McLane Children's is also a Magnet designated facility and you are able to obtain TNCC and ENPC certifications during the first year as well as triage trained within the first 2 years.

Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. What You'll Do
• You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
• Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
• You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• A current and valid nursing license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
