Job Details
The Plant Manager will be accountable for a team of 40 – 60 employees, includes shift supervisors, production operators, maintenance and office / support staff. Plant operations are 24 / 7 with four, 12-hour rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage daily operations of the blown film extrusion plant to meet production goals and customer specifications.
Ensure all blown film extrusion lines operate safely, efficiently, and within quality standards.
Develop production teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve yield, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and training to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Collaborate with sales, purchasing and customers on product development.
Ensures the quality of product produced conforms to the Crayex Quality Policy.
Collaborate with quality control to maintain product specifications and resolve any quality issues.
Ensure product is finished and shipped on time, meeting customer commitments.
Resolve conflicts in a wide variety of situations, such as workload allocation, schedule overlap, etc.
Drive initiatives for process improvements and cost reductions.
Prepare and manage budgets, reports, and operational documentation.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Willingness to work in shifts and flexible hours as needed.
Qualifications :
Three to five years of Operations Leadership experience in blown film extrusion manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of extrusion equipment, blown film processes, and quality control standards.
Must be proficient with all Microsoft office products.
Ability to troubleshoot extrusion machinery and resolve production issues.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Strong human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative work relationship with others within and outside the facility.
