Overview : Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Main Operating Room, working full-time night shifts from Monday through Thursday. This role involves providing essential patient care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to the unit and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, offering direct assistance or notifying appropriate personnel.
- Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
- Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage and maintain stocked and clean patient care areas.
- Participate in cost containment efforts and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
Education and Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Experience and Skills :
No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to read and understand English.Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.Basic computer proficiency.Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical Requirements :
