Staff Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, California. This is a long-term contract position within the aerospace industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting practices and a demonstrated ability to handle revenue-related reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable processes, including revenue recognition and account reconciliations.

Prepare and post manual journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.

Conduct intercompany activity reviews and ensure proper accrual entries are recorded.

Perform reconciliations for 10-15 accounts related to revenue, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Generate financial reports, such as trial balance, profit and loss statements, and general ledger transaction activity.

Assist in the month-end close process, including running reports and validating data.

Support auditors by providing requested documentation, pulling data, and offering insights.

Analyze costs and provide detailed reports to support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless accounting operations and compliance with standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts receivable and revenue recognition processes.

Strong competency in account reconciliations and manual journal entries.

Familiarity with financial reporting, including trial balances, P& L statements, and general ledger activity.

Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Epicor.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.

Experience with month-end close processes and intercompany transactions.

Capability to support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and data.
