Overview

Join to apply for the Tax Law Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students nationwide for online Tax law tutoring. You'll have flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the ability to contribute to students' learning journeys from your home.

Note : Varsity Tutors does not currently contract with tutors in some states. See licensing and eligibility details in the About section below.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online Tax law tutoring to individual students.
  • Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles to help students reach their goals.
  • Utilize the Live Learning Platform for remote instruction, with real-time engagement features and lesson generation tools.
  • Coordinate with students to schedule sessions and tailor content accordingly.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; platform handles payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Tax law and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour for ongoing sessions with the same student.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like; tutor remotely—no commuting required.
  • We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
