Experienced Pipe Layer ( Pipe Crew )

Job Title :

• (Pipe Layer) Craft :                      Pipe Reports to :          Foreman               Exempt Status :   Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position Objective / Description : Performs a variety of manual construction tasks under the direction of a crew foreman.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Load, unload, or distribute materials, machinery, or tools to and from designated locations Direct traffic at or near building sites and carry out other traffic management activities Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth Use picks, shovels, and rakes to level earth or asphalt to grade specifications Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails or bolts Tends pumps, compressors, or generators Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials Assist craft workers, such as carpenters, ironworkers, plasterers and masons Measure, mark, or record openings or distances as part of site preparation May be called upon to operate a variety of power and hand tools :
