Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Fragrance Laboratory Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in testing and creating unique fragrances. This position offers the chance to learn basic wet chemistry and bench techniques, ideal for those eager to grow their careers in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical property testing, specific gravity testing, and pH testing.
• Compound and create individual fragrances, restock and refill the lab.
• Test incoming product, in-process samples, and final samples before dispatching to customers.
• Document laboratory activities and occasionally retrieve items from the production floor.
• Manage compounding and testing of 12-20 formulas daily.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure timely product dispatch.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fragrance lab within a manufacturing environment, similar to other chemical companies. The work involves physical testing of fragrances, so individuals with sensitivities to smell may not be suitable. The lab team includes 3 perfumers and 2-3 lab technicians who assist in operations. Expect a fast-paced environment that requires autonomy and reliability.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 / hr.
