Role : Adult Protective Services Field Investigator – Development Disabilities Focused
Purpose : Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults (18+ who are unable to defend themselves) with developmental and / or intellectual disabilities. Work independently in the field, interact with adults and family members in homes or care facilities, coordinate with external partners (caregivers, medical personnel, police, public fiduciaries, the public, etc.).
Requirements : In-state travel required; valid driver's license; background checks; fingerprint clearance; E-Verify; willingness to work longer shifts or after-hours if needed.
Job Duties
- Investigates, assesses, evaluates, documents, and provides referrals for the most complex cases involving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (18+) who are alleged to be abused, neglected, and / or exploited.
- Determines need for protective and / or social services for individuals in ADH, group homes, ICF, ATPC, SNF.
- Makes time-sensitive contacts with clients and interviews informants.
- Writes assessments and case summaries.
- Analyzes documents including ISP and BTP.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Rehabilitation, Healthcare, or related field OROne year of professional Case Management / Investigations experiencePre-Employment Requirements
