Job Description
The Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization's sustainability strategies and initiatives. He / she plays a pivotal role in driving environmental, social, and governance practices across the company, ensuring alignment with local regulations, global standards, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities :
- ESG Strategy Development and Implementation :
- Develop sustainability strategies relevant to the business.
- Perform end-to-end Sustainability Project Management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG into business operations, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
- Monitor progress of sustainability against goals, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- ESG Reporting and Disclosures :
- Prepare and submit sustainability reports, disclosures, and surveys, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS S1 and S2).
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather data for ESG reporting, ensuring data integrity.
- Analyze industry trends, regulations, and emerging ESG issues to identify opportunities and risks.
- Familiarity with the United Nations Global Compact Principles and Sustainable Development Goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and address material sustainability concerns.
- Support relationships with external organizations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
- Technical Expertise :
- Execute sustainability projects addressing climate-related strategies such as GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), water and waste management, climate and nature action.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, GHG Protocol, and related management frameworks.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to climate and nature action.
- Utilize data analysis tools, including GIS.
