Estimating & Preconstruction Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

BYLD is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Preconstruction & Estimating Lead to play a key role in our project development efforts. This individual will lead project estimates, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help scale BYLD's model-based, high-efficiency preconstruction process. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience , is comfortable working with digital tools like Revit, and brings specific knowledge of cold-formed light gauge steel (LGS) structural systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop detailed project budgets, estimates, and quantity takeoffs from concept through buyout
• Author and leverage simple design models to support early-stage pricing
• Coordinate with project teams, designers, and engineers to align scope and cost
• Evaluate supplier bids and assist with scope definition
• Improve and maintain internal estimating tools, templates, and historical cost data
• Support preconstruction strategy, including phasing, logistics, and value engineering
• Participate in design development and constructability reviews
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across preconstruction and estimating workflows
