Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise content consistently
- Cover breaking news with urgency
- Pitch vetted stories reflective of the communities served
- Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts
- Establish and manage relationships and sources in the community
- Produce content for Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast‑quality video for television newscast and digital platformsProficient in Premiere ProKnowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio, and LiveUIndependent with high accuracy and ability to tackle problems quicklyVery strong social media skills and ability to contribute on all platformsAbility to work a varied schedule including mornings, holidays, weekendsTeam player who can multitask and work optimally under deadlinesCollege degree in Journalism / Communications / Broadcasting preferred; equivalent experience consideredMinimum 4 years’ MSJ / television reporting experience preferredWhat We Offer
