Job Details

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Ruby on Rails engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver high-impact features.

Drive technical excellence and architectural decisions across the team.

Own the team’s roadmap, execution, and delivery of projects aligned with business goals.

Recruit and onboard top engineering talent, contributing to hiring strategy and process.

Implement best practices in agile development, code quality, testing, and deployment.

Advocate for the team’s needs and remove roadblocks to ensure productivity and morale.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally in a fast-paced product-driven environment.

Strong background in Ruby on Rails development and web technologies is preferred.

Driven, life-long learners committed to expanding their skills in both leadership and engineering

Full-stack understanding of production software systems from hosts and HTML, to containers and caches, to databases and DNS, to runtimes and REST.

Deep understanding of product development lifecycle and user-centered design.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Experience scaling teams and systems.

Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking.

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)

Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js)

Background in B2B SaaS or fintech products
