Second Avenue is recruiting a Resident Onboarding Specialist for its Single-Family Property Management division in Tampa, FL.

Job Summary

Enjoy helping people, staying organized, and working in a fast past environment? We are looking for a Resident Onboarding Specialist to join our team and support future residents as they move into their new homes. This is a great opportunity for someone with hospitality, customer service, or retail experience whos looking to have a professional career in the real estate or property management industry. While property management experience is helpful, it is not required-we provide full training to set you up for success. In this role, you will guide applicants through onboarding and move in process, ensure applications and leases are processed accurately, and deliver excellent service at every step.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process lease applications, move-ins, and files accurately and completely.
  • Answer inbound phone inquiries from customers providing quality and accurate responses managing and resolving customer complaints.
  • Route calls, emails, and tickets to appropriate back-office individuals and groups as needed.
  • Manage all communications with applicants during the lease process (application, approval, lease signing, move in coordination)
  • Deliver top-tier customer service to residents.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to regulations such as the Fair Housing Act
  • Collaborate with Regional Leasing Managers, Leasing Teams, and other departments
  • Stay up to date on leasing processes and policies through training
  • Assist with reviewing reports and tracking performance metrics.
  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and processes.
  • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Property management or leasing experience is helpful but not required
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook, and the ability to learn other programs / software.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast- paced environment.
  • Job Competencies

  • Ability to use a computer proficiently, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and property       operating / accounting software.
  • Propertyware or similar Property Management software experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies.
