Job Description
Cape Fear Smiles, a wellness-oriented dental practice located in the heart of Wilmington, NC, is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time General Dentist. This position requires the successful candidate to be onsite, as it is not a remote job opportunity. We are devoted to extending integrative dental services that not only treat dental issues but also contribute to the overall well-being of our patients by utilizing state-of-the-art, digital and innovative dental therapies.
Our practice merges traditional dental excellence with functional and biological dentistry principles. We focus on preventive care, patient education, and the use of minimally invasive techniques. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care with a strong emphasis on holistic approaches and preventive techniques.
- Utilize advanced dental technology such as ozone therapy, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), and laser treatments to enhance patient outcomes.
- Engage in placement of ceramic (zirconia) dental implants and potentially expand skills in this innovative area.
- Work collaboratively with other team members on case management focusing on airway health, sleep disturbances, and TMJ disorders.
- Educate patients on the importance of oral health in relation to overall wellness and guide them on maintaining long-term dental health.
- Implement newer therapeutic techniques as learned through ongoing professional development and training in biological / functional / integrative dentistry.
- Attend and participate in meetings, training sessions, and seminars to stay informed of new developments in the field.
- Maintain accurate patient records with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
Requirements
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.Current or eligible for a North Carolina dental license.Previous experience or a strong interest in biological, integrative, or functional dentistry practices.Preferred SMART certification (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) or a willingness to obtain certification.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and team members.A commitment to professional development and continual learning, especially in areas that support our practice's focus on holistic health.Proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
