Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the legal technology roadmap in partnership with legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify current pain points, future needs, and emerging technologies to inform short- and long-term legal tech planning.
  • Align the roadmap with department priorities, business initiatives, compliance requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Regularly present roadmap progress, milestones, and updates to legal and executive leadership.

Ticket And System Support

  • Manage and optimize the legal tech ticketing system, ensuring efficient triage, assignment, and resolution of incoming legal support requests.
  • Define and enforce SLAs, categorize ticket trends, and produce metrics on volume, response time, and resolution rate.
  • Maintain user-facing knowledge bases and self-service documentation.
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle of legal technology projects including system selection, design, configuration, testing, launch, and adoption.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with IT and vendors on solution delivery.
  • Implement systems for contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter management, e-billing, knowledge management, and compliance as needed.
  • Foster user engagement through training, change management, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Design and deliver reports and dashboards that measure legal performance metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze ticketing data, contract cycle times, matter trends, and system utilization to inform optimization efforts.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and support ongoing data governance initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between Legal and IT to ensure legal tech goals align with company-wide systems and strategies.
  • Participate in vendor management, contract negotiations, and RFPs related to legal technology.
  • Monitor industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices to maintain a cutting-edge legal tech environment.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field (JD, MBA, or legal operations certification a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, legal tech implementation, or IT program management within a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing technology roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with legal technologies (e.g., Ironclad, MyLegal, Brightflag, Navex, E-discovery tool).
  • Proficient in analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Preferred Skills

  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certification.
  • CLOC or ACC Legal Operations experience.
  • Experience in systems integration, data migration, and API-driven workflows.
  • Exposure to risk, compliance, or privacy tools supporting the legal function.
  • Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range : $144,160.00-$180,200.00
  • Disclaimer : The compensation noted above is based on an annualized rate; final offer may vary by location, skills, and experience.
  • This position may be eligible for bonus compensation, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and other programs.
