Windows System Administrator

Summary

We are looking for a Windows System Administrator at Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX. The role focuses on maintaining the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile within a large distributed network environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, and comprehensive configuration of critical internal and customer-facing server infrastructure.
• Provide expert administration and advanced support for core Microsoft Windows-based technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and virtualization platforms.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of proprietary and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications within the Windows ecosystem.
• Proactively monitor, patch, and update the Windows operating system and installed applications to meet stringent cybersecurity requirements.
• Implement sophisticated monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve performance issues and security incidents across Windows server environments.
• Provide after-hours support for critical emergencies and execute planned weekend maintenance activities.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed operational procedures and target user training materials.
• Collaborate closely with the Information Technology Project Management Organization and the Chief Technology Office to deliver complex technology solutions on schedule and within scope.
