Energy Expert
Gulf Distributing of Birmingham, LLC is seeking an Energy Expert to promote the sales of Red Bull in each assigned account as well as developing new accounts.
The Energy Expert is responsible for :
- Conducting complete sales calls on all assigned accounts on the proper day and in the established sequence.
- Selling and merchandising all Red Bull products in accordance with the standards of Gulf Distributing Holdings Company.
- Working with all retailers to equalize order quantities between their scheduled deliveries.
- Using and improving on the PIITCHER process daily and weekly.
- Assisting the rest of the GDH team to learn PIITCHER.
- Communicating with the Total Beverage Sales team on deliveries and any special requests needed.
- Communicating with the Total Beverage Sales team on any promotions involving Red Bull.
- Ensuring all paper and permanent Point of Sale is used in the proper manner and quantity.
- Using sales history data in each account as a selling tool. Ensuring that all products are reviewed on every sales call to prevent out of stocks and call-ins.
- Requesting one additional placement, ad, display, sign, static, price reduction, etc. on each sales call.
- Keeping the marketing plan and all tracking charts updated daily.
- Actively participating in all incentive programs.
- When necessary, calling back on accounts to assist or complete the merchandising of delivered product.
- Restocking the delivery vehicle daily with the necessary P.O.S. materials needed to properly service accounts on the next business day.
- Maintaining a positive working relationship with the owners, managers, and employees of assigned accounts.
- When possible, avoiding retailer contacts during their busy times.
- Being aware of all competitive activity and opportunities to increase sales in assigned accounts.
- Checking and noting pricing on all competitive products to ensure parity.
- Pursuing new placements and lower PTCs on all special promotions or new everyday lower prices on the products sold and merchandised.
- Requesting competitors' shelf space for new placements or for expanding existing placements.
- Working with assigned accounts to improve shelf position within their cooler, warm shelf, and the placement of floor displays.
- Advising and training retailers and their employees in the proper methods of selling, merchandising, and pricing of the products supplied.
- Demonstrating a sincere interest in the business success of each assigned account.
- Maintaining open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of Gulf Distributing Holdings Company.
- Maintaining open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of all assigned accounts.
- Reporting to the Manager all new competitive activity in accounts.
- Forwarding to the Manager immediately all competitive price information.
- At weekly sales meetings, sharing information with the other employees that will benefit the company.
- Reconciling all route invoices, cash, and checks daily.
- Communicating to the Manager any additional POS or equipment needed to service assigned accounts regarding displays, placements, and POS.
- Ensuring proper stock rotation is in effect in all assigned accounts.
- Having close dated product returned to the warehouse for re-delivery to another account that can sell it prior to going out-of-date.
- Always being aware of code dates and having product that is out-of-date swapped.
- Ensuring that all packages are sellable and having damaged product swapped or re-packed.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and orderly.
- Ensuring the vehicle is serviced at regular intervals and repaired when necessary to minimize breakdowns.
- Dressing and maintaining personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
- Properly operating, protecting from damage, and returning all equipment issued to you (i.e. radios, hand trucks, vehicles, etc.).
- Conducting all activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
- Reporting immediately to the Area Manager of any traffic violations, on or off duty, that may affect insurability.
- Conducting all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Reporting all accidents and injuries immediately to the Area Sales Manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
