job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEndoscopy RN position at Danville Regional Medical Center – Sovah Health in Danville, VA. Facility is a 250 bed Academic Community Hospital serving the region for over 120 years. Facility is the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED services, home health & hospice agency, advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, 2 cath labs, one day surgery center, medical and radiation oncology. Endoscopy unit handles colonoscopy cases, some EGDs, PEGs, and bronchoscopies including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy. Position involves working days from 6 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM with 36 guaranteed weekly hours and weekend hours as needed. Call requirements include one full week of call on a rotating basis. Float requirements as needed within scope of practice. Serves all ages patient population. Must have RN licensure to work in Virginia. Required certifications prior to start : ACLS, BLS, HWC (available on site), and NIH. 1-2 years of experience preferred. Must complete clear screenings before starting. Consent required for random drug screening and completion of Criminal Questionnaire / Consent Form. No offensive, gang-related, or hate-related tattoos; earrings must be contained in scrub bouffant; no earbuds allowed on duty; closed-toed shoes with closed heel required; no Crocs with top ventilation holes. Shift : Days from 6 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Weekly guaranteed hours : 36. Weekend hours as needed. Call requirements : One full week of call on a rotating basis. Float requirements : As needed within scope of practice. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Endoscopy unit handles colonoscopy cases, some EGDs, PEGs, and bronchoscopies including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy. Position requires ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications. Patient population served includes all ages. Call and float requirements specific to the unit. Supervisor : Director of Surgical Services.
