The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC) mission is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.
The Office of Support Services within the Department of Corrections is seeking candidates for an Offender Information Specialist II to perform sentencing calculations in order to determine parole eligibility and release of inmates. This position will also maintain various offender inmate records.
Base pay range
$41,903.76 / yr - $41,903.76 / yr

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION : Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS : One year of experience in management, administration, legal, paralegal, or offender records.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE : NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION : Administrative, legal, paralegal, law enforcement, or offender records work experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) : NONE
