Biomedical Device Consultants & Laboratories () is a fast-growing company that offers comprehensive medical device testing services, designs verification test equipment, and produces silicone mock vessels to the medical device community in support of domestic and international regulatory submissions and approvals. Our primary focus is cardiovascular technologies such as endovascular stents, prosthetic heart valves, and catheters. As a small company, BDC's environment is fast-paced, dynamic, challenging, and rewarding.

ABOUT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST :

We are looking for a  Business Development Specialist that  is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new business opportunities with current and potential customers to drive the growth of our product, primarily the Equipment and Testing business units. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated sales professional, with experience selling to R&D  Engineers, who thrives on the challenge of closing deals and expanding our customer base within the medical device industry.

COMPENSATION :

  • Base Salary Range $75,000-$85,000
  • Eligible for commission- $30,000+

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Scientific, Business or Marketing field
  • Proven experience in technical B2B sales in the laboratory, life sciences, or Biomedical Devices.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and develop strong professional relationships with customers specializing in technical and R&D fields. Experience with cardiovascular device standards (ISO, ASTM) a plus.
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Experience with prospecting, cold calling, and acquiring new business in a technical and competitive environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand technical product offerings and their applications and to disseminate this information to prospects.
  • Ability to recognize, interpret and communicate changes in industry standards, practices and market trends.
  • Must be organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and writing skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Engage with existing customers at their locations to understand their current and future needs and find opportunities for placement of additional services, products or upgrades.
  • Find and engage with start-ups in the cardiovascular medical device space to position BDC Labs as the go-to resource for device testing and / or test equipment.
  • Assessing customer requirements and delivering pre-sales technical support and informational guidance related to the company's products.
  • Identify and generate new leads and prospects through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, trade shows, industry events, and networking.
  • Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Concentrate on securing new or expanded business opportunities by showcasing BDC Laboratories' solutions to prospective clients, assessing their needs, and providing customized product offerings.
  • Deliver product presentations and live demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting how our solutions can address their specific requirements.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and timely responses to inquiries. Use CRM tools to track sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Travel to engage with clients, assess their needs, and identify opportunities for business development.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and potential customer challenges to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure the alignment of sales strategies and product offerings.
