Crestwood Branch | LibraryAssistant

The role of Library Assistant is part-time and non-exempt.

We currently have one part-time position available at our Crestwood location :

10 hours weekly, plus one 7.5 hour Saturday shift at Crestwood per month

M / W

2 : 15 pm – 7 : 15 pm (5 hrs)

1 Saturday a month (Crestwood)

Salary : Starting at $15.00

Benefits : Sick and Vacation leave

Start Date : starting ASAP

About the Job

What You'll Do :

• Assist customers in the use of library materials and services
• Carry out circulation procedures
• Check library materials in and out and register new card holders
• Assist other library staff with a variety of library and collection maintenance tasks as assigned.

Who You Are : An enthusiastic learner with a high school diploma or GED and public service work experience.

Scheduling : The Library Assistant generally works an established schedule, which may include some weekend and evening hours. Additional hours may be provided on a temporary basis for staff substitution, staff training, and / or special projects. Additional staff time may be offered at the discretion of the Supervisor.
